Dog Friendly Vendor: The Wine Press – Brookline, MA

Here’s a scenario:

Let’s say you’re out and about with your dog, maybe in a neighborhood near your go-to grocery store, coffee shop, or bakery. You realize you need to pick up something, like a bottle of wine, for dinner tonight. The liquor store is only two blocks away. You can run in really quick and grab it on your way home.

But wait! You have your dog with you! What do you do? Walk all the way back home, drop the dog off, then go all the way back to the store? It’s right there! It’s so convenient! But, you’re not sure if they’re dog-friendly. You could ask, but what if they say no dogs allowed? Do you tie them up outside while you shop? (I can never do this and I get anxious when I see dogs outside tied up while they’re owners run in shops).

Why not avoid this dilemma and head to a tried and true place that you KNOW is dog friendly!

The Wine Press, located in Brookline, is the perfect place for you and Fido to shop for all your wine, liquor, beer and quick dinner needs!

It’s easy to get to, right off the Green line (St. Mary’s Stop) and in a thriving neighborhood with restaurants, a grocery store, and of course, Fenway Park!

Owned by husband and wife team Joyti and Aaron, they, along with a small team, work hard to sell the best selection of wine, beer, spirits, non-alcoholic beverages, along with a wonderful variety of cheeses, tinned fish, and to-go meals from independent, locally owned vendors, so you can get all you need in one place!

Don’t know what would go with that fish? Or what to serve guests who aren’t drinking? The friendly staff will happily give you several recommendations.

Some of my favorites for the summer are an Ercole Piemonte Rosato, which I love eating with spicy food, this Rose from Matthiasson (I went here last summer, highly recommend visiting!) from Napa, this local Bully Boy gin for martinis and gin and tonics on the patio!

And don’t forget to grab some tin fish along the way! I love doing a cheese and tin fish board for dinner – a perfect summer meal!

Plus, they’ll give your dog a treat (and lots of pets!)

Need it delivered? They’ll do that too! You can also shop online here

Let me know if you have been here and what your favorite dog friendly wine shops are in the Boston area! Gant and I will check them out!
